Students back to school after six months
- Schools for students of classes 9th and 10th, colleges and universities reopened today across the country.
After a period of six months, students in Pakistan returned to their respective schools, colleges and universities on Tuesday.
The government has decided to reopen all educational institutions across Pakistan in phases under the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued by it. In the first phase, that is September 15, schools (Classes 9th and 10th only), colleges and universities have reopened.
In the second phase, September 23, students of class six and eight will return to school. Whereas, for primary and nursery students, classes will start from September 30.
On Monday, Prime Minister Imran Khan welcomed the millions of children who will be returning back to their schools. He said the government has worked to ensure that school operations are aligned with public health safety rules on coronavirus.
