LAHORE: The Punjab government has decided to allow opening of the marriage halls subject to strict implementation of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Punjab Minister for Industries and Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal revealed this while talking to a delegation of Punjab Marriage Halls Association led by its patron-in-chief Mian Muhammad Aslam. President Catering Association Muhammad Shahid Ismail and other office bearers were also present on the occasion.
The Minister said that notification regarding opening of the marriage halls would be issued soon. The delegation members discussed with the minister different issues being faced by them and said that marriage halls were closed for the last six months. Mian Aslam Iqbal said the government realizes the problems due to closure of their business and added that the government would extend all possible help by providing relief in taxes.
