LETTER: Federal Minister for Information Senator Shibli Faraz has tweeted that "people of Karachi cannot be left at mercy of Sindh government that has destroyed infrastructure of Quaid's city during their 12-year long rule."
Although there's merit in what the federal information minister has said about the Sindh government, the situation underscores the need for greater cooperation between federal and provincial government for the resolution of myriad Karachi issues. Unveiling a Rs1.5 trillion 'Karachi Transformation Plan', prime minister Imran Khan, who was flanked, among others, by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, has always expressed a similar desire or directive. Both PTI and PPP are required to end conflict and become friendly for greater Karachi cause.
