These are the Top Richest families in the World

The wealth of the top richest 25 families in the world reached $1.4 trillion and even the economic slowdown caused by the global pandemic of COVID-19 could not stop their wealth from increasing.

As per the latest list of the 25 richest families in the world released by Bloomberg, these 25 families are involved in various industries, media groups, agribusiness companies, and oil trade.

At the top of the list is the famous Walton family in the United States with a combined net worth of a whopping $215 billion, the family owns the global chain of Wal-Mart supermarkets. As per the report, the third generation of the Walton family now owns more than 11,000 supermarkets around the world.

In second place is the American 'Mars' family, which owns the popular chocolate making company carrying their family name ‘Mars.’ The assets of the Mars family are worth $120 billion, which is far less than the first-ranked Walton family.

In third place is the American industrial family Koch, which owns $109 billion. Koch Industries has invested heavily in industrial sectors of the United States, including in oil, energy and chemicals.

According to the report, the fourth-place sits the royal family of Saudi Arabia, whose source of income is oil and it has assets of 95 billion US dollars.

In fifth place is the Ambani family of India, which operates in various fields from eCommerce to telecommunication under the name of Reliance Industries and has a net worth of $81.3 billion.

Also ranked 25th on the list is the Lee family, which owns the well-known electronics company Samsung, which has $29 billion in assets.
