KARACHI: Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has intensified Operation Girft against gas theft in its franchise area in Sindh and Balochistan.
In two different raids, CGTO has arrested two gas thieves who were stealing gas direct from SSGC's main gas pipeline for their commercial use.
SS&CGTO's Intelligence Wing Karachi carried out a raid in Garden Zone, Central Region against direct use of gas to run bakery.
Bakery owner Abid was obtaining total 140 CFT/Hours from direct line for running its bakery.
Culprit Abid was arrested on the spot and FIR lodged against him and claim will be raised accordingly.
On another hand, CGTO team conducted a raid in Orangi area on Quetta Star Hotel where owner of the hotel Namatullah was stealing gas from Company's direct pipeline for commercial use. Culprit was arrested on the spot.
Claim against the both arrested culprits, hotel owner Niamaullah and bakery owner Abid, will be raised against theft gas load obtained for running hotel.
FIR lodged against both culprits for stolen gas used for commercial purposes accordingly.
CGTO Chief Birg Muhammad Abuzar (R) said SSGC has zero tolerance for gas theft which affects Company's financial statements.-PR
