Jack Ma, Resham and Humayun Saeed to receive national civil awards

To mark the 73rd Independence Day, President Dr Arif Alvi conferred civil awards to 184 Pakistanis and foreigners recognising their excellence and service rendered to the country. The awards will be handed out in a ceremony on March 23, 2021.
Nominated for the Nishan-i-Imtiaz are painter Sadeqain Naqvi, singer Abida Parveen and late poet Ahmad Faraz
Industry veterans Bushra Ansari and Talat Hussain have been nominated for the Sitara-i-Imtiaz, along with Hum TV mogul Sultana Siddiqui. Meanwhile, actors Sakina Samo, Humayun Saeed, Resham and Naimat Sarhadi will receive the President's Award for Pride of Performance, as well as singer Ali Zafar, religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil and painter Dr. Abdul Qudoos Arif.
Notably, Jack Ma, co-founder and former executive chairman of Alibaba Group, has also been awarded Hilal-i-Quaid-i-Azam for his services to Pakistan.
