Mayor urge medical superintendents to improve performance

KARACHI: Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar urged the doctors, professors and medical superintendent of KMC hospitals to ensure punctuality on duty and pay full attention to providing best medical treatment to the patients.

Free provisions of medicines must be ensured, action will be taken against the persons responsible for delay in salary of staff, he said.

He said this while talking to the post graduate doctors, MCPS and FCPS doctors who called on him in his office for solution of their problems, said a statement on Monday.

Chairman land committee Syed Arshad Hassan, chairman medical and health committee Naheed Fatima, director medical services Dr. Beerbal, director technical S. M Shakaib, and medical superintendents of different KMC hospitals were also present on this occasion.

The Mayor said that the salary and dues of post graduate doctors of Sobhraj Maternity Hospital should be paid so these doctors could perform their duty in a better way.

He said that medical superintendents also ensure cleaning in their hospitals and provision of medicines and better medical treatment of patients.

He said that medical superintendents perform their duty in such a way that no surprise visits are needed.

He said that measures being taken to regularize the post graduate doctors.

Earlier the post graduate doctor informed the Mayor Karachi about their problems and expressed hope that these problems will be solved soon on which Mayor Karachi directed Director MS to take immediate measures for solution of these problems.
