Shahid Afridi unhappy with media over Sarfraz Ahmed

Pakistan former all-rounder Shahid Afridi, seems unhappy with media over its recent coverage of Pakistan cricket current captain Sarfraz Ahmed.
The former skipper was of the view that media should not be over critical of a player passing through ‘rough times’ and should not overlook one’s ‘past achievements.’
“Sarfraz is still new to the job and he will only get better along the way. The only thing I don’t like is that media running down players during their rough times. As long as you are winning, everything is fine and you lose a game and all hell breaks loose,” stated Afridi, quoted PTI.
“That is grossly unfair. We should not overlook someone’s past achievements just because he is going through a bad patch,” added Afridi.
Earlier, Sarfraz has said that there was undue criticism on the team after the whitewash against New Zealand, the skipper expressed he was hurt by the media lashing.
