Karachi Traffic Police announces alternative routes

KARACHI: The traffic police Karachi on Friday announced alternative routes for the vehicular traffic to move smoothly and avoid traffic congestion due to construction work between New town and National Stadium on the National Stadium road (Pir Sibghatullah Rashidi road) here.

Those who want to go towards Civic Centre via New town route, they are advised to take u-turn, while moving from University road, nearby Expo Centre to reach their respective destinations, said Traffic police spokesman Saeed Arain.

Those who intend to go to Karsaz or Millennium via New town, they are advised to take Rashid Minhas road from the University road to avoid trouble.

The people can take guidance from the Karachi Traffic police on its helpline "1915", he said.
