stockNEW YORK: Mexican stocks gain 0.6 percent to 36,848 points on Thursday helped by data showing the number of Americans filing jobless claims hit a 3 1/2 year low last week, bolstering views the economy of Mexico's top trading partner was recovering. Trading is thin on Mexico's IPC index. The index is on track to fall about 4 percent this year.
