HAMBURG: Another 200,000 tonnes of Pakistani wheat has been sold to overseas buyers in Asia, the Middle East and Africa in the past week, continuing heavy sales after the country started a new state export incentive programme, European traders said.
That is up from the approximate 300,000 tonnes of export sales estimated by traders on Feb. 1
This bought total export sales of Pakistani wheat since the new state scheme started in January to about 500,000 tonnes.
More sales are expected in coming weeks as another 1.5 million tonnes of Pakistani wheat is set to be allocated for a new export subsidy scheme, traders said.
