British High Commissioner, Adam Thomson, expressed his wish that United Kingdom wants to see the international cricket back in Pakistan soon adding Britain Army Cricket team would be visiting Pakistan in the next few months. He expressed these views while talking to mediamen here on Friday after inaugurating an exhibition of paintings and drawings by Jamil Naqsh at the Tanzara Gallery.
To a question regarding the return of international cricket in Pakistan, he said "UK wants to see international cricket back in this country". He said British universities cricket team already visited Pakistan and UK Army Cricket team would also visit soon. He hoped such activities would help bring back international cricket in Pakistan.
To a question about the visit of British national cricket team to Pakistan, he said at least not in the next few months but hoped that soon international cricket will be played in Pakistan and also between Pak-UK national teams. Talking about the exhibition, the High Commissioner said "I am delighted to be opening this exhibition by such an eminent artist who has such strong connections to both the UK and Pakistan." On London Games, he said "hosting 2012 games is a great honour for the United Kingdom. I am proud that Pakistan will be playing its part in this momentous occasion. We are ready to welcome the world, we are diverse, open and tolerant country."
