The rescue workers of the Capital Development Authority Friday recovered the Black Box of aircraft of the private airline that crashed near Benazir Bhutto International Airport here before landing. The Black Box is a device that contains recording of the whole conversation between the pilot of the aircraft and the control room at the airport.
"The CDA workers have recovered the 'Black Box' that would be handed over to the authorities concerned tomorrow," CDA Chairman Farkhand Iqbal told APP. He said the rescue operation has been suspended and would be resumed by 0500 hours at Saturday morning.
He said 156 bags full of body parts of the people aboard the crashed plane dispatched to hospitals that would follow the identification process of the bodies. He said 145 workers of CDA's Disaster Management Wing took part in rescue operation while another 150 remained alert. Moreover, emergency was imposed at CDA hospital where 50 beds have been reserved for the purpose.
