President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday said that the Government would continue facilitating lawyers' community in every possible manner so that the goal of easy dispensation of justice to the common man could be accomplished. The President stated this while talking to a delegation of People's Lawyers Forum (PLF), which called on him at Lahore airport on Friday on his way to Okara.
Those who called on the President included Mian Shahid Abbas, President PLF, Iftikhar Shahid, General Secretary PLF, and others. Governor Punjab Sardar Latif Khosa and Senator Jahangir Badar were also present during the meeting. The President lauded the role of lawyers' community for upholding Constitution and democratic ideals. He said that the lawyers' community has always played an important role in strengthening of democracy and establishing rule of law in the country. The delegation assured the President of their continued support towards government's efforts for strengthening of democracy, facilitation of dispensation of justice and establishing rule of law in the country.
