Attock Petroleum Limited (APL) has posted Rs 3.147 billion as profit after tax in nine month period ended March 31, 2012 as compared to Rs 2.752 billion earned in the corresponding period in 2011. The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Thursday declared that the company's earning per share has increased to Rs 45.54 in the period under review against Rs 39.83 in the same period a year back.
According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange, the company's sales increased to Rs 128.007 billion in the nine month period this year against Rs 78.942 billion in the same period last year. The company paid Rs 17.252 billion as sales tax this year against Rs 10.809 billion in the same period last year. The company's cost of products sold increased to Rs 107.115 billion against Rs 65.386 billion.
The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 4.467 billion in the nine month period this year against Rs 3.765 billion in the same period last year. On quarterly basis, the company's profit after tax increased to Rs 929.820 million translating earning per share of Rs 13.45 in the quarter ended March 31, 2012 as compared to after tax profit of Rs 1,009.484 million with per share earning of Rs 14.60 in the same quarter last year.
