The Old Ravians from India will reach Pakistan on Friday (today) through Wahga Border to attend the annual reunion of the Old Ravians Union which is going o be held at the Government College University Lahore Oval Ground on Saturday night (tomorrow).
ORU Secretary Dr Khalid Manzoor Butt said that very eminent personalities of India are part of the Old Ravians delegation which includes Major General Jaidev Singh (R), Major General Surinder Nath Talwar (R), Iqbal Singh, Mrs Moina Cheema, Pran Neville and Luthra.
Dr Manzoor Butt said that mostly Old Ravians are coming with their families, as the union has already granted its honorary membership to the all the family members of Indian Old Ravians. The delegation also includes an 85-year Old Ravian. The ORU Secretary said that Indian Old Ravians would be accorded a warm welcome by the students of GCU at Wagha Border.
"They would also address a press conference at their alma mater, Government College University Lahore on Friday (today)," he added. The Indian Old Ravians would also meet Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif who is also an Old Ravian. The Old Ravians Union has planned the visit of Indian Old Ravians and their family members to Nankana Sahib, Lahore Fort, Allama Iqbal Mausoleum, Lahore Museum, Walled City and to several other places during their five-day visit.
