Sri Lankan and Iranian delegations, which are in Pakistan to participate in the second Commission Meeting of Comsats, paid a visit to Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) head offices separately on Wednesday.
The Sri Lankan team comprised Senior Minister for Scientific Affairs Professor Tissa Vifrana, Sri Lanka Science Foundation Chairperson Professor Sirimali Fernando and Sri Lankan High Commissioner in Pakistan Air Chief Marshal Jayalath Weerakkody (Retd).
PSF Chairman and Economic Co-operation Organisation Science Foundation (ECOSF) Founder President-designate Professor Dr Manzoor H. Soomro briefed the delegation about PSF and ECOSF history, functions and programmes to promote science and technology in the country and in the region. Later, the Iranian delegation comprising Iranian Deputy Minister for Science Research and Technology Dr Ahmed Akbari, Director Shiraz Technology Park Dr Syed Ahmed Fazalzadieh and Seyed Ali Salehpour, Counsellor Embassy of Iran also visited PSF offices.-PR
