The profit after tax of Attock Refinery Limited (ARL) has increased to Rs 2.611 billion in the nine month period ended March 31, 2012 as compared to Rs 1.950 billion earned in the corresponding period in 2011.
The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Wednesday declared that the company's earning per share from refinery operations has increased to Rs 11.99 in this period against Rs 10.34 in the same period last year while the company's earning per share from non-refinery operations has increased to Rs 18.63 against Rs 12.53.
According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange, the company's net sales increased to Rs 112.177 billion in the nine month period this year against Rs 81.935 billion in the same period last year. The cost of sales increased to Rs 110.603 billion against Rs 80.991 billion.
On quarterly basis, the company's profit after tax however declined to Rs 289.490 million in the quarter ended March 31, 2012 against Rs 448.192 million in the same quarter in 2011.
