President Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Mian Abrar Ahmad has demanded of the government to recover the looted merchandises worth millions of rupees belonging to Senior Vice President KCCI Younus Muhammad Bashir.
In a statement he said that it is a matter of deep concern that on the National Highway in the daylight criminals hijacked a cargo van loaded with imported goods worth millions of rupees in the area of Jinnah International Airport Karachi on April 13, 2012.
He said that the cargo vehicles have been found abandoned whereas since the day of incidence on 13th April, the looted goods are not recovered yet.
He demanded IG Police to direct the officers concerned to immediately recover the looted goods and punish the culprits. He also urged him to take concrete measures and visible results to control the prevailing everywhere in Karachi and curb the criminal elements who are not only threat for innocent citizens of the city but also intimidation for national security and perception of the country as well.-PR
