Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Asif Sandila paid a courtesy call on Dr Fehmida Mirza, Speaker National Assembly here on Wednesday. While praising the state of preparedness of Pakistan Navy, Dr Fehmida Mirza said the force has played an important role in making the defence of the country impregnable.
She also praised the role of Pak Navy personnel during rescue and rehabilitation activities in the catastrophic floods in Sindh. Naval Chief expressed his gratitude to Madam Speaker for her kind words and said that Pakistan Navy remains vigilant at all times to thwart any threat to the country, adding that the force is always prepared to play its role in calamites.
He praised the sagacious role of Madam Speaker in conducting the proceedings of the House. He also praised the role of women legislators for women emancipation and creating gender parity. The Naval Chief informed the Speaker that Pakistan Navy has always encouraged women whereby a significant number of women have been inducted in Navy during the recent years, who were actively playing their role in Naval Education and Medical cores.-PR
