A five-day training workshop has been organised for Sindhi subject teachers of the Roshan Tara schools run by the Sindh Graduates Association (SGA) and jointly organised by the Sindhi Langauge Authority (SLA) and Sindh Graduates Association (SGA), at the Dr Nabi Baloch Hall, Sindhi language Authority here on Tuesday.
Dr Fahimda Hussain, the Chairperson, Sindhi Language Authority in her welcome address said that it is the responsibility of parents to teach Sindhi language in their homes to children and teach them Sindhi literature as well. She advised the experts of Sindhi language to come forward and work for the language.
She told the participants that Sindhi Language Authority will provide best language books. Secretary Education, SGA, Surayya Memon said the Roshan Tara schools are teaching the Sindh Textbook Board's syllabus from Class-I to Intermediate level along with an additional subject on Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai. She said teachers are being trained in English language also while primary school teachers will be trained in the first phase and secondary in second.
Educationist Professor Sher Shah stressed on teachers' training. Secretary of the SLA and noted writer Taj Joyo asked the teachers to gain full command over the language to further impart it correctly among their students. While the teachers from 22 SGA schools are participating in the training course.
