Developments schemes: contractors directed to ensure quality work

Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad Ahmed Bux Narejo has directed the all concerned to expedite ongoing developments schemes and to ensure quality work within time of completion period so that basic facilities could be provided to the citizens without any discrimination.
This he stated while presiding over a meeting of Divisional Development Board at his office on Tuesday. Narejo said that concerned officers should visit different development schemes on daily basis so that quality could be maintained. He further said that funds have been released for ongoing development schemes and finance department has assured for further release of funds for the same purpose. He warned the concerned contractors to ensure the quality oriented work and its timely completion adding that no excuse would be accepted in this regard.
He asked the consultants to inspect the development work of on-going schemes. He said that those contractors who completed the work timely with quality would be given further schemes while in case of slow pace and substandard work contractors would be released payments after the clearance from consultants.
Giving a briefing of development schemes the Superintending Engineer Works & Services Shaheed Benazir Abad Phero Mal Rohra informed the DC that a scheme of health sector of rehabilitation of Block B of Peoples Medical College Nawabshah district Shaheed Benazir Abad including gynaecology, surgical, urology and Eye wards of estimated cost of Rs 37.700 million identified by MNA Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho has been approved and tender of such scheme has been issued and after completion of all formalities the rehabilitation work would be started soon.
He further informed that 100 per cent funds have been released of ongoing schemes under ADP and same would be fully utilised up to June 2012. Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazir Abad Rasheed Ahmed Zardari, Director Local Government Hyderabad Division Zahid Khemtiyo, Superintending Engineer Works and Services Shaheed Benazir Abad Phero Mal Rohra, Executive Engineer Education Works Shaheed Benazir Abad Mir Mohammad Siyal and other were attended the meeting.
