THE RUPEE: dollar up further

The rupee extended decline against dollar on the currency market on Friday due rising demand for the greenback, dealers said. The rupee failed to resist further fall versus the dollar, losing 11 paisa for buying and selling at 90.55 and 90.57 in process of trading, they said.
INTERBANK MARKET: OPEN MARKET RATES: The rupee also followed the same pattern, falling by 20 paisa against dollar for buying and selling at 91.00 and 91.20, they added.
The rupee, however, gained 40 paisa in relation to euro for buying and selling at Rs 118.60 and Rs 119.60. According to the Reuters, in the final Asian trade euro is poised to post its worst week in nearly four months, languishing a little above a three-week low against dollar as worries about rising Spanish debt yields show no signs of abating ahead of key US jobs data.

RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The rupee-dollar parity remained unchanged on the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Friday.
The dollar opened at Rs 91 (buying) and Rs 91.2 (selling) against same previous rate. It did not observe any further change in the second session and closed at Rs 91 (buying) and Rs 91.2 (selling).
Pound Sterling opened at Rs 142 (buying) and Rs 142.50 (selling) against same previous rate. It did not observe further change in the evening session and closed at Rs 142 (buying) and Rs 142.5 (selling).
