Banned JuD leaders: Pakistan wants concrete evidence: FO

Pakistan on Wednesday asked for concrete evidences to proceed legally against Hafiz Mohammad Saeed and Hafiz Abdul Rehman Makki, top leaders of banned Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD), following the US announcement of $10 million bounties on them. "Pakistan would prefer to receive concrete evidence to proceed legally rather than to be engaging in a public discussion on the issue," said Foreign Office spokesman Abdul Basit while sharing Pakistan's reaction to media development.
He underlined that in a democratic country like Pakistan, where judiciary is independent, evidence against anyone must withstand judicial scrutiny.
