The Karachi Port handled 122,860 tonnes of cargo including 80,391 tonnes of import, 42,469 tonnes of export cargo and 3,979 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during the last 24 hours of business activities ended at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The total import cargo of 80,391 tonnes comprised of 29,272 tonnes of total containerised cargo; 19,891 tonnes of b bulk cargo; 15,502 tonnes of coal cargo; 5,995tonnes of rock phosphate and 9,731 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 42,469 tonnes comprised of 28,505 tonnes of total containerised cargo; 93 tonnes of b bulk cargo; 1,497 tonnes of cement cargo; 7,200 tonnes of loose bulk cement cargo; 3,924 tonnes of rice cargo and 1,250 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. A total number of 1,719 loaded 20' containers and 847 loaded 40' containers are handled during the reported period. While there are 88 unloaded 20' containers and 239 unloaded 40' containers are handled during business hours on Tuesday.
A total number of seven cargo vessels namely Purwati, Hyundai Unity, AN Xin Jiang, Thor Integrity, Eaship Maya, Cido Pacific and Glen Canyon Bridge carrying oil tankers, containerised cargo, general cargo, bulk cargo, oil tankers, general cargo and containerised cargo respectively are sail out to the sea during the business activity hours on Tuesday.
There are total six cargo vessels namely UBC Cyprus, SL Star, CS Discovery, Berthea, Oriental Nadeshiko and Yaran are currently occupying the berth to load/offload bulk cargo containers, containerised cargo, oil tankers, and containerised cargo respectively during the reported period of business on Tuesday.
A total number of four cargo vessels namely MOL Wind, Oriental Nadeshiko, Yaran and Berthea are expected to sail out to the sea on Tuesday, while there are three more cargo vessels namely UBC Cyprus, CS Discovery and M T Lahore are expected to sail out to the sea on Wednesday.
There is only one cargo vessel namely Chemway Gaia carrying ethanol is expected to arrive on Tuesday evening, while a total number of five cargo vessels namely Unity, Helsinki, Yvonne, Amamik and Teamworth No-1 carrying containerised cargo, coal cargo, steel coil and general cargo respectively are expected to arrive during the business activity hours on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
Port Qasim maintained port's activities of total cargo volume of 77,087 tonnes including 49,656 tonnes of import; 27,431 tonnes of export cargo and the total number of 3,689 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) are handled during the last 24 hours of business activity on Tuesday. The total import cargo volume of 49,656 tonnes comprised of 18,654 tonnes of furnace oil; 3,956 tonnes of fertilisers; 5,961 tonnes of chemicals and 21,085 tonnes of containerised cargo are handled during the business activity hours of the port on Wednesday.
The total export cargo volume of 27,431 tonnes, comprised of 27,431 tonnes of containerised cargo is handled during the reported period of activities on Wednesday. There are only two cargo vessels namely M T Golden Dynasty sailed out to the sea on Monday morning M V Maersk Wisconsin is expected to sail out to the sea during business activity hours on Monday evening, while M T Qubaa and M V Safmarine Ngami are sailed out to the sea on Tuesday morning.
A total number of six cargo vessels namely M V Safmarine Ngami, M V nanjin Dragon, M V Maersk Wisconsin, M T Qubaa, M T Yamamah and M V Umm-ad-Dalkh are currently occupying the berths to load/offload containerised cargo, furnace oil tankers, fertilisers cargo and chemical cargo respectively during the last 24 hours of business activities at the port on Tuesday.
There is only one vessel namely M V Sealand Washington carrying containerised cargo is currently to line up at the outer anchorage during the Business activity hours on Tuesday. A total number of three cargo vessels namely M V Sealand Wishington, M V Al-Mutanabbi and M V are expected to arrive at Qasim International Terminal during the business actity hours on Wednesday.
