Legislation being made for equal rights of chairmen, vice chairmen: Rajwana

MULTAN: Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana said on Sunday that legislation was being made for equal rights of chairmen and vice chairmen of all union councils.
According to a handout, vice chairmen of municipal corporation of the city met Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana to inform him about problems being faced by them.
During the meeting, Rajwana said that efforts were being made to provide equal rights to chairmen and vice chairmen of each union council and increase of their honorarium. He said that equal rights would be given to vice chairmen in order to make them able to provide facilitates to citizens at local level.
Vice chairmen informed him that they were facing problems regarding funds due to which they were unable to launch any development in their areas. They further informed the Governor that vote bank of PML(N) was being effected due to the reasons.
Malik Rafique Rajwana assured them that their issues would be discussed with CM Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif for action.
