President and Prime Minister felicitate new office-bearers of APNS

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani have felicitated Sarmad Ali, the newly elected President of All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS).
In their separate statements issued here, they also congratulated newly elected General Secretary Masood Hamid and the newly elected Executive Committee of the APNS. They said the government believed in independence of media and has never imposed any restriction on media.
They highlighted the importance of APNS for the promotion and protection of journalism and assured that the government will take all possible measures to ensure all facilities to the journalist community.
