Altaf urges people to form vigilance committees

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has expressed serious concerns over the sharp increase in incidents of terrorism, robbery, car and motorcycle snatching, street crimes, extortion and kidnapping for ransom. He appealed to the public to form vigilance committees and install alarm systems in their localities to raise alarm in case of any emergency.
He said that the situation had worsened significantly and the public would have to step forward for protecting their neighbourhood. He said that positive results had been obtained in the areas where vigilance committees were formed on his appeal.
