US wheat futures fell for the second day in a row on Wednesday as traders shrugged off signs of rising export demand and focused on the forecasts for good crop weather in the US Plains. Weakness in the corn market also weighed on wheat futures. Another warming trend is underway for the US Plains with unseasonably mild weather and occasional rainfall buoying wheat crops, said Jason Nicholls, meteorologist for AccuWeather.
Japan plans to buy 6.5 percent less foreign food wheat in the 2012/13 crops year in anticipation of higher local production. Flour mill in Qatar issued a tender to buy 20,000 tonnes of optional-origin high protein wheat, European traders said.
