Fake, bogus payment of salaries eliminated: Matanat

Municipal Commissioner Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Matanat Ali Khan has said that fake and bogus payment of salaries has been eliminated and the salary system is being directly connected to the main computer system of bank. In the first phase the deduction of income tax from the salaries of employees had been connected with the new online system of FBR that would also provide direct access to employees to get any information about the deduction of tax from their salary.
He said this while addressing a meeting of heads of different departments of KMC. He directed the officers to ensure full and proper monitoring of all official matters and bring improvement in the performance of their department. He expressed satisfaction over the recovery of dues of KDA auctioned plots and said that 40 percent exemption was being allowed on the full and final payment of dues on such plots where the owners had still not begun the construction works. Khan said CNG bus routes were already restored and CNG buses were plying on all the three designated routes while maintenance of some of the buses was underway and these would also be brought on roads soon.
