Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Women Wing, Dr Rukhsana Jabeen has stressed on women to get united and play their due role for their due rights and perform their responsibilities in befitting manner in the society. She said this while addressing a seminar "Current Change and Muslim Women" organized by Women and Family Commission Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan held here at Mansoora on Tuesday. She said the War on Terror had increased problems of women in Pakistan.
Addressing the participants, Justice Nasira Javed Iqbal (Retd) emphasised the need to restore the social status of women in order to put the country out of the crises. She said that women are 60 percent of the total population of the country but they are deprived of basic education, health facilities and even of protection. She emphasized that by providing them all facilities to them, Pakistan could get an imminent position in the world.
Wife of Qazi Hussain Ahmed, Afia Sarwar, Nabeera Naeemi, Musarrat Misbah, Aamna Mujtaba, Saba Sadiq, Ghazala Saad Rariq, Aamna Ulfat, Khalida Jameel, Mehnaz Rafi, Rubeena Shaheen Watto also addressed the seminar. They jointly said the conspiracies were being hatched to change the character and role of women in Muslim society. President Women and Family Commission Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Dr Samiha Raheel Qazi said the women are united and ready to play their due role for the protection of their rights and the ideological bases of Pakistan.
