JI veteran activist laid to rest

KARACHI: Veteran activist of Jamat e Islami (JI) Anwar Ahmed Saddiqui, father of former Emer of JI Jaddah Khursheed Ahmed Saddiqui, was laid to rest at Sakhi Hassan graveyard here on Friday.

Earlier, his funeral prayer was offered at Al-Akhwan Mosque Federal B Area block 15, said a statement.

A large number of JI leaders, activist and relatives attended the funeral prayer.

JI Emer Senator Siraj Ul Haq and others senior leaders of the party expressed grief with the bereaved family and prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
