Traffic jams irk businessmen in Site areas

Industrialists have expressed serious concern over increasing traffic congestion in site industrial areas particularly in peak hours and urged Inspector General of police to take appropriate measures to keep traffic moving smoothly. Almost daily, the traffic remains jammed on Shershan road from Gul Bai onwards, Ghani chowrangi, Siemen's Chowrangi, Habib Bank site, Habib Chowk, Makro roundabout, Baraboard about for hours together and takes considerable time to clear.
Industrialists said that all this happens as there was no traffic police deputed near roundabouts or a few traffic constables are posted. Two or three traffic police constable can not handle the situation in peak hours, they claimed.
