Administrator KMC Muhammad Hussain has said a number of programmes of "Hamara Karachi" Festival have been organised to highlight the old culture and customs of Karachi and bring the correct image of the city before the people. He expressed these views while inaugurating the 3-day Jashn-e-Baharan in connection with the Hamara Karachi Festival at Safari Park.
Hussain accompanied by Senior Director Culture, Sports and Recreation Muhammad Rehan Khan and Director Safari Park Salman Shamsi said that Jashn-e-Baharan was being celebrated as a family gala and all family members could participate in it. Talking to media men he said the spring season had its own flavour, vibrancy and colourfulness and its arrival just gave pleasure to people. He said that the KMC besides providing civic facilities to Karachiites was also fully contributing in educational, cultural and social activities.
Senior Director Culture and Sports Muhammad Rehan Khan said various programmes had been planned for Jashn-e-Barahan, 2012 which would present the culture and traditions of city of Karachi in a befitting manner. Visitors with their family would have free entry during Jashn-e-Baharan in Safari Park.
