Cotton mill receives Usterized Certificate

Francis Benoit of Uster Technologies AG Switzerland hand over the Usterized Certificate to Mian Hammad Alam Director of Alam Cotton Mills on Monday. Speaking at the certification ceremony, Benoit who had come to Pakistan especially for this purpose appreciated the overall management of Alam Cotton Mills for maintaining the international standards of producing Usterized cotton yarns in Pakistan.
Benoit further added that Alam Cotton Mills is among the only 5 companies in Pakistan to have achieved the quality standards set by Uster Technologies AG, Switzerland and amongst one of the only 36 companies in the world to have achieved the Usterized Certification.
He wished the management good luck for the future and hoped that they will keep on striving to maintain these quality standards. He appreciated Mian Hammad Alam and said it is a remarkable achievement for Alam Cotton Mills to have maintained their quality standards in accordance with parameters set by Uster AG, Switzerland.
Mian Hammad Alam on the occasion thanked Francis Benoit for his short trip to Pakistan for this occasion. He also appreciated his team in achieving and maintaining the quality milestone. Hammad said Alam Cotton Mills, A textile spinning mill based on 100 per cent cotton was established in 2005 and commenced its commercial production in mid-2006.
The machinery setup of the mill is state of the art and a mix of Swiss and Japanese technologies. He said by adapting Usterized standards the yarns produced at Alam Cotton Mills are in very high demand among the yarn consumers in both Export and Domestic markets. At the ceremony Francis Benoit of Uster, Switzerland, Mian Hammad Alam of Alam Cotton Mills, Muhammad Rashid Jalil Executive Director, Muhammad Azhar Awan Mills Manager and Abdul Samad Amiwala of Rauf Electronics were also present.
