Minister Auqaf Punjab, Haji Ehsan-ud-din Qureshi has said the government is paying special attention on the protection and renovation of Mazaars of Sufi Saints. He expressed these views at Darbar Hazrat Madhu Lal Hussain (R.A) while inaugurating annual Urs celebrations, "Mela Charaghan".
MNA Pervaiz Malik, Director General Religious Affairs, Director (Admn.) Muhammad Tariq, Administrator Chaudhry Munir and Manager Auqaf besides local people's representatives were also present on the occasion. He said that Mela Charaghan is the folk tradition of Punjab especially in Lahore and added the government has ensured foolproof security arrangements on the occasion of Urs Hazrat Madhu Lal Hussain (R.A).
The Auqaf Department has made special arrangements for the convenience of visitors regarding the security, he said. Haji Ehsan-ud-din Qureshi said that Ulema have great respect throughout the world and we have to promote the concept of love, brotherhood and mutual tolerance for the establishment of peace in the world and the Sufi saints spread the same message. The Minister asked the Ulema present on the occasion to spread the teachings of Sufi Saints among the masses to create charitable and tolerant society.
