Pakistani expatriates in Japan urged to promote soft image of country

Senior Federal Minister for Commerce, Makhdoom Muhammad Amin Fahim on Friday called upon Pakistani expatriates in Japan to project soft image of the country by presenting themselves as a role model and urged them to act as an ambassador of their country.
He was speaking on the occasion of flag hoisting ceremony at the Embassy of Pakistan in Tokyo along with Saleem H. Mandviwalla, Chairman, Board of Investment and Pakistan's Ambassador to Japan, Noor Muhammad Jadmani, said a message received here on Friday. Fahim was here to participate in a business dialogue for exploring avenues of cooperation with Japan.
Fahim said that Japan was not only an important trade partner but also played a major role in the development of Pakistan. He said that during the business dialogue in Tokyo, the Japanese side was requested to further open their market for Pakistani products.
He said that the present PPP government restored the 1973 Constitution to its original form which was disfigured by successive dictators to suit their personal whims and wishes and political objectives. Pakistan People's Party government undertook broad-based reforms in political, legislative and administrative domains, he added.
