Port Qasim maintained port's activities of cargo volume of 63,829 tonnes including 49,693 tonnes of import; 14,136 tonnes of export cargo and the total 2,326 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) are handled during the last 24 hours of business activity on Friday.
The total import cargo volume comprised of 49,693 tonnes including 16,633 tonnes of tonnes of containerised cargo and 33,060 tonnes of furnace oil are handled during the business activity hours of the port. The total export cargo volume comprised of 14,136 tonnes including 13,325 tonnes of containerised cargo and 838 tonnes of cement are handled during the reported period of the activity hours on Friday. A total number of five cargo vessels namely M V CMA CGM Rossini, M V Nele Maersk, M V Saigon Express, M T Qubaa and M V Hiba Al Nour-B sailed out to the sea during the reported period on Friday.
There are six vessels namely M V Betang Annai, M V Hiba Al Nour-B, M V Nele Maersk, M V Saigon Express, M V CMA CGM Rossini and M V Qubaa are currently occupying the berths of to load/offload cement cargo, containerised cargo and furnace oil tankers respectively during the last 24 hours of business activities at the port on Friday. A total number of one vessel namely M V Uni Corn Emerald carrying wheat cargo is currently to line up at the outer anchorage on Friday.
