Samiullah Khan Alizai, a PPP MPA from D I Khan, took oath as Khyber Pakthunkhwa minister during an impressive ceremony at Governor House, here on Thursday. The Khyber Pakthunkhwa Governor Barrister Masood Kausar administered oath to the new Minister whose portfolio would be announced later on. Chief Minister Khyber Pakthunkhwa, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti also present on the occasion.
Deputy Speaker National Assembly, Faisal Karim Kundi, Senior Ministers, Rahimdad Khan and Bashir Bilour, provincial ministers Wajid Ali Khan, Hidayatullah Khan, Nawabzada Mehmood Zaib Khan, Salim Khan, MPAs, officials and elites of the city attended. The induction of the PPP MPA into the provincial cabinet of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was necessitated after the resignation of Pervez Khattak, Minister for Irrigation who after joining the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf tendered resignation from the cabinet. Samiullah Khan Alizai was elected on PPP ticket in a by-election on PK-65 D I Khan-II held after the death of his uncle Major Latifullah Khan Alizai (Retd).
