At least three persons lost their lives in different mishaps at various parts of the metropolis here on Wednesday. According to police, two persons were killed while two others injured in road accident occurred at Malir 15 in the limits of Malir City police station.
The tragic incident took place at Malir 15 where some passers-by, who were standing at bus stop, were knocked by speedy vehicle (P-0682). They said the driver lost his control over steering as the tie rod of the vehicle broke accidentally. Resultantly, four persons including Waheed, 40; Hyder, 42; Azhar, 28 and Hassan sustained severe injures and were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where Waheed and Hyder succumbed to their injuries during treatment. Police said victim Waheed was the resident of Liaquat Colony Malir, while Hyder was living in Landhi.
Later police handed over both bodies to the heirs. A boy lost his life in another road mishap at Banaras Bridge Orangi Town in the limits of Pirabad police station. The victim Saeed, 14 son of Faisal, a resident of Farooqui Mohalla Frontier Colony, was hit by speedy vehicle (KE-0147) when he was crossing the road along with his mother. Resultantly the victim Saeed received critical injuries and died on the spot. After committing the crime, the responsible driver left his vehicle and ran away.
