Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani did not ruled out change in Cabinet, saying that reshuffling of federal Cabinet is a routine matter. Talking to media after a function organised in connection with Zero Hunger Plan, he said that reshuffle of the cabinet was a routine matter but his resignation from the office of Prime Minister could not be a routine matter.
To a question about local bodies' elections, he said it was the prerogative of the provinces and they have to decide about it. The Prime Minister said that the contempt of court case against him was in the court, which would decide about his fate and declined to further comment on it.
When asked whether he sees any political instability in the country owing to various issues the government faces, he said that there was political stability as institutions were functioning. He said that the Parliament was working in the country as well as independent judiciary and media.
To a question about the threats being hurled by the religious parties against reopening of Nato supplies, Gilani said Nato supplies were neither suspended owing to religious parties nor would be restored on their request. He said that the Parliament would decide about future' terms of engagements with the US and Nato/Isaf. Gilani said that he was not a mere individual rather representing 180 million people of the country. To a question about the next elections, he said that any decision to this effect would be made after consultations with the coalition partners.
