Pakistan Railways (PR) Administration has failed to receive Rs 40 million outstanding dues owed by Four Brothers International, private operators of Business Express. Pakistan Railways dispatched a final reminder to the party on Tuesday and representatives of both sides to hold a meeting in this regard next week to discuss the issue of over Rs 40 million outstanding amounts owed by the private operators.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Zafar Iqbal Chaudhry and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Ejaz Ahmad Business Express will represent their organisation, while railways GM operation Junaid Qureshi and commercial department officials will represent the railways during the meeting.
It was stated that Business Express operators were not reimbursing the installments regularly in railways accounts according to the agreement. The private company was bound to submit an amount of Rs 3.1 million daily but they were paying only Rs 2.5 million in this regard due to occupancy shortage.
Ejaz Ahmad, Business Express told this scribe that they would also point out the issue of technical problems in power van. They were suffering heavy financial losses because one of the power vans was not functioning properly and water dispenser, LCD, CCTV cameras, DVR and other electronics gadgets were not working properly due to massive fluctuation of voltage.
