DIB's sports gala concludes

President CEO Dubai Islamic Bank, Junaid Ahmad has said that Pakistanis have great potential in sporting fields and they can bring laurels to the country if they will be provided all the necessary facilities in this regard.
Talking on the occasion of Dubai Islamic Bank grand sports gala here at the EME Sports Club Lahore, recently, Junaid Ahmad said that Dubai Islamic Bank would do its best to boost the sports across the country and organising this sports gala is the part of that commitment for the promotion of games in Pakistan.
He said the bank has devised a future plan for the promotion of sports and will play due role in bringing the international sports back to the country by inviting the foreign teams and provide the deprived fans a chance to witness their heroes in action against the international teams, the CEO said.
He further said that they had planned to open 25 new branches across the country and they were striving hard for the promotion of Islamic banking. Talking about sports gala, the CEO said that they had held that gala to provide their employees opportunity to enjoy relaxed atmosphere.
Various events including cricket matches between the staff members both male and female, badminton, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, squash, tug-of-war, relay race, three-legged race and sack race were held during the sports gala. All the spectators present on the occasion were provided free tokens as a lot of prizes were offered through lucky draw.
M. Ali Raza of Lahore Region won the grand prize a 39 inches LCD through lucky draw while Umrah ticket winners were Shafqat Raza from Central Region, Subhan Ghani from North Region and Masood Salahuddin from South Region. At the end, chief guest Juniad Ahmad distributed prizes among the top performers and lucky draw winners and hoped that the players would try their best to perform well with same passion not only in the field of sports but also every walk.-PR
