Chief of Army Staff (CoAS), General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani called on Chief of General Staff of United Kingdom, General Sir Peter Wall, on Tuesday. The meeting was followed by discussions on issues of professional interest, highlight of which was the briefing on transformation of United Kingdom Army.
Areas of future dialogue on security and defence issues were also highlighted, says a press release issued here by ISPR. The CoAS thanked the hosts for providing valuable insight into United Kingdom planning process. Later, CoAS called on Secretary of State for Defence, Right Honourable Philip Hammond and Secretary of State for International Development, Right Honourable Andrew Mitchell. Discussions focused on regional security issues and Britain's role in development and education projects in Pakistan.
