Sindh Assembly on Tuesday paid tributes to the founder of Hur movement, Syed Sibghatullah Shah Rashdi known as Sooriya Badshah on his 69th death anniversary. With Speaker Nisar Khuhro in chair, a lady lawmaker of Pakistan Muslim League Functional (PML-F), Syeda Marvi Rashdi presented an out-of-turn resolution to pay homage to the founder of Hur Movement.
In the resolution, the mover demanded of the government to call him a national hero of Pakistan movement as he fought against British rule and sacrificed his life in the just cause. Those who were the signatories of the resolution including Jam Madad Ali Khan, Nusrat Sehar Abbasi, Masroor Khan Jatoi, Rana Abdul Sattar, Shaharyar Khan Mahar and Abdul Razzaq Rahimoon. Sindh Information Minister, Shazia Marri, A Pakistan People's Party lawmaker, Anwar Khan Mahar, Muttahida Qaumi Movement's Heer Ismail Soho also expressed their views on the resolution and paid homage to the freedom fighter.
