PRESS NOTE: Directorate of Industries, Government of Sindh is conducting census of Manufacturing Industries for the year 2010 - 2011 under Industrial Statistics Act 1942. According to this Act, it is mandatory for all manufacturing units registered wider the Factories Act; 1934 to furnish the required information in the prescribed proforma.
The Act provides heavy penalties for non-submission of the return which may extend to Rs 20,000/- and in case of continuing offence with a further fine which may extend to Rs 800/- for each day after the first during which the offence continues.
Blank C.M.I forms for the year 2010-2011 are under dispatch to the concerned units of Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur & Larkana Divisions. The Industrial Units registered under Factories Act 1934 are advised to collect the same from Mr Roshanuddin Leghari, Chief Statistician, Directorate of Industries, Government of Sindh, Block No 22, Sindh Secretariat 4-A, Shahrah-e-Liaquat, Karachi (Phone No 99204374) on any working day during office hours or download the same proforma from the website of www.pbs.gov.pk and submit the same duly filled in with in the prescribed time, failing which legal action shall be taken as per law.
