Acting Sindh University vice chancellor condoles death of Professor Nasim
Acting Vice Chancellor University of Sindh (SU) Professor Dr Parveen Shah has expressed deep sorrow on sudden demise of Professor Nasim Thebo and lauded her teaching services in the department of Economics. The SU department of Economics also organised condolence meeting in memory of Professor Nasim Thebo which was chaired by its chairperson Professor Dr Marhab Qasmi on Tuesday.
Dr Parveen Shah in her condolence statement on Tuesday said Professor Nasim Thebo was excellent teacher, inspiring short story writer and a woman who spent her life in struggle. She said, "Professor Nasim Thebo was not only a teacher but also a non controversial personality and a silent contributor in Sindhi literature who contributed a number of short stories focused on the issues of common men. Professor Nasim Thebo would be remembered due to her teaching and literary contributions in the society."
Dr Qasmi in her views said that being a senior faculty member in the department Professor Nasim was caring to each colleague in the department, adding that instead of teacher of economics, she also served the society being writer and contributed a number of short stories which enriched the Sindhi Literature.
