Sindh police on Tuesday claimed to have killed an alleged bandit in a gun dustup near KMC graveyard Baldia in the precincts of Saeedabad police station. According to police, the incident took place at near KMC graveyard Mawach Goth Baldia Town, where two alleged bandits, who were busy in looting valuables from passers-by, intercepted by police patrolling party.
Reacting on it, these alleged bandits opened indiscriminate gunshots on police with the aim to get escaped under the cover of firing. Meanwhile, the police party retaliated on their action that claimed the life of one alleged bandit while other managed to flee from the scene.
Police said they had recovered a snatched bike and a TT pistol with live bullets from the deceased bandit and added that the alleged bandit was identified as Zahid Ali, 24 son of Shah Dost, a resident of Ittehad Town Baldia. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico legal formalities and later handed over his family. No case was registered till filing of this report.
