Ziaul Haq Sarhadi, executive member Pak-Afghan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PAJCCI) has expressed the hope that the bilateral trade relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan, would improve following the establishment of joint chamber of the both countries.
He said that the PAJCCI would play its important role for resolution of the issues and problems confronting the businessmen and traders. Sarhadi, who is also vice president of Sarhard Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) said the trade volume would reach at US $6 billion between two neighbouring states and the joint chamber could take steps to hinder smuggling in coming years.
The PAJCCI executive member said the joint traders' platform would also play role to prevent irregularities under the Afghan Transit Trade. He expressed the hope that the bilateral trade would pave the way for peace in Afghanistan and rest of the region. He said the mineral sector, infrastructure and, hydel power sector would lead new peak of the both states. The sectors had vital contribution in addressing of unemployment and creation of new opportunities for youth. He said Pakistani traders want to expand trade relations to Afghanistan, Iran and central Asian states.
Sarhadi extended its heartiest congratulated newly elected PAJCCI President Zubair Motiwala, co-president Khan Jan Alkozai, Vice president Usman Bashir Bilour from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Engineer Dawar Khan from Quetta, Ateequllah, Muhammad Zada, Younas Mohmand, executive members from Afghanistan and Ghulam Sarwar Mohmand, executive member, and others from Pakistan.
