100 more primary schools to be set up in Peshawar: Hoti

Chief Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has announced the allocation of Rs 400 million for establishment 100 new primary schools in city district and district Peshawar, saying these schools will be established in rented houses.
He was talking to the cabinet of ANP City District Peshawar in Chief Minister's House. Provincial Minister for Sports Syed Aaqel Shah, MPAs Aurangzeb Khan, and Munawara Sultan, ANP Provincial General Secretary Arbab Muhammad Tahir Khan Khalil, Provincial Secretary Information Malik Ghulam Mustafa, President City District Niaz Mohmand, General Secretary Information Sartaj Khan and entire members of the cabinet were also present on the occasion.
President City District Niaz Mohmand presented a detailed report on development projects in Peshawar and apprised the CM of traffic problems and unsatisfactory conditions of roads in Peshawar. He demanded employment opportunities for the people.
He announced the establishment of degree college in Gulbahar, which will be named after Hakim Abdul Jalil Nadwi and provision of a fund of Rs 40 million to each ANP MPA of the district for water supply schemes and Rs 100 million for repair of old 37 water supply schemes, Rs 100 million for obsolete electricity wires and Rs 33 million have been allocated for filtration plant. The chief minister also announced special funds amounting to Rs 50 million each for PK-1, PK-3 and PK-4 constituencies and asked MPAs and city district association for preparation of PC-1 of schemes in consultation.
He approved third flyover for Peshawar and issued directives to C&W for prompt rehabilitation of urban roads and sewerage system within city. Throwing detailed light on the development schemes in Peshawar and funds allocations that included construction and improvement of urban road costing Rs 450 million for development of urban roads at provincial assembly constituency level costing Rs 132 million, complete rehabilitation of Ring Road and completion of northern and southern by-passes will create pleasant impacts on situation of traffic within city.
In connection with hospitals, he termed Lady Reading hospital as heart of the hospitals and said that work on phase-I and Phase-II on reconstruction and rehabilitation of Institute of Cardiology was underway with financial implications amounting to Rs 2 billion while the rehabilitation of its emergency section will cost Rs 280 million, establishment of Institute of Child Health will cost Rs 116.5 million.
He said that development schemes amounting to Rs 1.20 billion including Chest Institute in Khyber teaching Hospital and Hayatabad Medical Complex were in progress that will be helpful in capacity building of the hospitals. The chief minister said that people of Peshawar have paid a huge price in the battle against terrorism, consequently the government initiated Rescue 1122 service with total allocations Rs 600 million.
He said that a separate scheme of changing obsolete wires of electricity costing Rs 100 million will be implemented phase-wise. He said that work on Arbab Sikander Khan and Mufti Mahmood fly-over was in progress and expected to be completed earlier than stipulated time. He also cited work on road from Charsada to Pajagi.
He said that financial constraints of Peshawar TMAs will be removed through special grants in order to provide relief to people in municipal services. President City District Niaz Mohmand thanked the CM on these announcements and said that it will boost ANP politically in Peshawar city.
